The particles found in exhaust gases are retained and transformed by the regeneration process created by the filter in Renault petrol engines.

The filter in question changes the particles into carbon dioxide and other harmless gases by means of a chemical reaction. Therefore, it does not need to be cleaned or maintained.

As the particle filter is placed on the exhaust line, it does not affect your driving experience in any way whatsoever. It is just as comfortable and smooth as with equivalent vehicles.

Renault petrol engines and their particle filters do not have any affect on your fuel consumption. The technology works by itself regeneratively and therefore does not draw on your levels. You can control them in the same way as before.
