full hybrid E-Tech powertrain
Up to 40%* fuel savings with the full hybrid E-Tech powertrain. In the city, drive up to 80%** of the time in electric mode. The battery is charged when decelerating and braking, no need for a power outlet.
* for a full hybrid E-Tech powertrain compared with a mild hybrid auto powertrain, according to WLTC City protocol / source UTAC & IDIADA /2025.
**Based on internal tests using the urban phase (low) of the WLTC (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Cycle). % of driving time may vary depending on actual driving conditions (road type, driving style, and weather conditions).

technology
The full hybrid E-Tech powertrain on the RenaultAustral is made up of a new 3-cylinder, 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine combined with a new electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a smart multi-modal gearbox.
main characteristics
Starts are automatically powered by electric traction, delivering strong and responsive acceleration. Regenerative braking charges the battery as you drive. You can also recover even more energy through four regeneration modes.
