As you descend, take your foot off the accelerator pedal, do not try to accelerate uphill whilst you are in gear.
Acceleration and speed control
Accelerate freely at low speeds, and remain within the speed limit when possible to allow fuel economy.
Optimise your vehicle
Regular monitoring of tyre pressures and a well maintained vehicle are the key to manage fuel consumption.
Opt for a smooth ride
Anticipate by looking at the traffic conditions in advance, to avoid hard acceleration or sudden braking.
Adapt your gear changes
To consume less you must be in the highest gear as soon as possible.
Vehicle thermal management
Start your journey without "warming up" the engine unnecessarily, and switch off the ignition when you stop for more than a few seconds.
The ECO function is present for all new generation engines, the driver delegates to the car some of the "driving style". Driving becomes softer with longer acceleration. The ECO mode is activated by pressing a button, it disconnects during strong acceleration if needed.
This technology changes the management of the engine torque, power and acceleration as well as the automatic air conditioning and heating.
In the R-LINK vehicle menu you can find a trip quantitative and qualitative assessment report. It evaluates the performance of your eco-driving through four ratings: an overall score out of 100 called "Eco-scoring" and three more specific notes: acceleration, gear changes and anticipation.
Eco-coaching provides the driver with personalised advice in line with the four ratings explained in the report. The goal is to help the driver to make gradual changes towards driving more economically.
Try pressing the accelerator pedal depending on the terrain of your journey.
Consider using energy recovery and limit braking by using engine braking.
Create thermal comfort
Think charge. Pre-warm or cool your vehicle's interior.
Adopt a flexible approach without pushing acceleration beyond the actual needs.
Charging and warming
The electric vehicle driver has a specific version of the ECO2 driving programe to maximise its range before, during and after the journey.
Before starting the journey, the driver can start the preconditioning of the vehicle easily via various interfaces (mobile phone, computer, tablet ...) and charge the battery of the vehicle.
There is specific ECO2 driving in R-LINK for electric vehicles
