Alex Lancaster - Marketing Assistant
"My role as the Marketing Assistant during my placement year included working with Digital and PR agencies, creative experience agencies and TV and radio stations. I was given a large amount of responsibility which is challenging yet hugely rewarding and I can see a huge progression in myself, both personally and professionally. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide and varied number of internal and external stakeholders, attending various trade shows and events. Working in such a broad spectrum of environments has really given me an insight into how Renault Ireland intrinsically operates.

The team in Ireland were, at all times, supportive and always made me feel like a valued member of the team. In addition, I was offered various training opportunities to ensure continuous development. The social side of the placement was great fun too - I particularly enjoyed being part of the St. Patricks Day parade and the National Ploughing Championships."

My experience has been truly invaluable thanks to the combination of a dynamic, challenging environment and the support of a friendly team. An experience that cannot be replicated by university!"

Jemma Farrell - Aftersales Assistant
"I have loved my time as a placement student in Renault Ireland in the Aftersales Department. Due to the small size of the department, I have seen myself carry out a broad range of activities each day, varying from general day to day administrative tasks, to the co-ordination and management of nation-wide projects. I have always felt like a valued member of the team, not ‘just an intern’. My opinions and ideas have been listened to, and I have been trusted with the opportunity to modify existing processes and procedures to help improve efficiencies and capabilities within the Department. The Aftersales team have made my time all the more enjoyable and have been a pleasure to work with, as have the wider Renault Ireland team.”
