R29 Formula 1, new car with the strong features of the R28
Following the ING Renault F1 Team's improving performance in 2008, the new R29 is a development in design philosophy aimed at extracting maximum performance from the new aero regulations, slick Bridgestone tyres, and KERS system, whilst further developing the strong features of the R28.
With such radical rules coming into force, particularly with respect to aerodynamics, the team placed great emphasis on maximising the R29's time in the wind tunnel, with aero development already underway by February 2008. CFD has also played a considerable role in the design of the car and has been particularly valuable in understanding the interaction of the aerodynamic package as a whole.
We have recently invested in cutting-edge facilities. This affirms our desire to race at the front during 2009 with the objective of having a car that is capable of fighting for the podium and victories at every race. Our development programme is progressing well and we have good reason to have faith in the work we have done so far. We are therefore approaching the new season with optimism and determination.
This team is the proof of the ability of the Renault group to obtain results and success at the very highest level. The team will therefore be supported by the whole group throughout the challenges that lie ahead this year."
With almost 2.5 million spectators since it began, the World Series by Renault is a fixture in Renault motor sports! The series comprises three world championships. Access to the paddock, free seats and a host of activities for the whole family make WSR a unique sports event!

Formula Renault 3.5 Series
The red carpet to F1 racing, this single-seater has all the aerodynamics and advanced technology of its big sister (sequential gears on the steering wheel, carbon brakes, etc.). Developed from the Renault Nissan V6 3.5 L 24V, the engine boasts top power of 500 hp.

Formula Renault 3.5 Series

The FR 3.5 Series is an international meet. 26 drivers compete in 17 races. Each meet comprises a maximum of two 45-minute races (reverse grid for Race 1 and compulsory pit stop in Race 2). This high-level championship is an opener to the Monaco Grand Prix. The winner is trialed in the ING - Renault F1 Team. There's a special ranking for the championship rookies.
Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0
A high-tech single-seater, which leads the global market with more than 850 units sold since 2000, the FR2.0 is an excellent training vehicle. It sets young - and even very young - drivers on the road to going pro: sequential gears, data acquisition, advanced mechanical settings and aerodynamics.
Kimi Räikkönen, Felipe Massa, Lewis Hamilton, Robert Kubica and Heikki Kovalainen all made their mark in the FR 2.0 before dazzling crowds in F1!
Worthy of a world championship grid, the Eurocup offers a top-level sport with 38 drivers at the start in 2009: a format with two 25-minute races per event and 1 lap where the best drivers from national championships compete. Access to the Test FR 3.5 Series for the first three drivers as a bonus.
Eurocup Megane Trophy
An exclusive, high-performance car, this sports hatchback has been revamped with wider tracks and scissor doors. Based on a tubular chassis, the Renault Nissan V6 3.5 24V engine develops almost 360 hp.
This championship with a mini endurance format (two 40-minute races + 1 lap with a pit stop every weekend) offers the 26 drivers maximum driving time. A special ranking is reserved for gentleman drivers.
Program: Non-stop action
Track
An identical program on Saturday and Sunday, with a track schedule that alternates between races and demonstrations continuously from 9 am to 6 pm.
Paddock
See behind the scenes of motor racing, and see the paddock like nowhere else: access the pit lane, get driver autographs, tour the starting grids, have a chance to meet professionals...
Village
Wander around the many activities that will delight young and old: music, inflatable castles, drawing and makeup workshops for children. Also on display driving simulators, air show, games on road safety and the environment, display of sports cars and the latest Renault vehicles are available to test drive, as well as demonstrations by Renault designers and model builders.
